President’s Remarks - 11th May 2026

Greetings Rotarians, Rotaractors and Friends of Rotary.

The month of May is a blessed month. We get to celebrate the mothers in our lives on 10th May every year. Happy Mother’s Day to all the lady Rotarians. May love abound all around you.

On the side of RCKN, we are still keeping our foot on the pedal to ensure that, as much as possible, we conclude what was supposed to be done this year while also leaving behind a strong club for the next leadership to build on.

Our project at SORVPV got a much-needed boost through the donation of 500 bags of cement to the project by Mr. Manish Varsani/Varsani Group. We appreciate the donation and thank them for this generous contribution. It will push us further in the construction of the girls’ dormitory at Busunju.

A team from the club led by PP Frank Ssebbowa was on hand to receive the donation on Friday, 8th May 2026. I am grateful to the members who joined the visit for their time and service to humanity.

“Let us continue to rally around service and leave behind projects that create lasting impact in our communities.”

On Saturday, we were at Chaote Restaurant early in the morning for training on designing and implementing service projects of impact and on how to raise giving to The Rotary Foundation. We had 25 Rotarians and Rotaractors in the room. The training was excellent, interactive and practical.

We are grateful to our trainers MD Joyce Sadori of RC Upper Kololo and Rtn Kwesiga for an excellent job done. To the PPs Council who are leading our training initiatives, we are grateful.

On the same day, in the afternoon, off we went to attend the installation of PE Ezekiel of KANOS. It was a glamorous affair that took us back to the 1900s. We congratulate President Rogers for an excellent year of service and wish PE Ezekiel the very best as he serves in the coming year.

To start him off, the members who were there agreed to support the KANOS for Kankindu project. We shall be reaching out to you soon to support that important project.

I wish you all wonderful celebrations as our country’s President Elect, H.E. Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Kaguta Museveni, is sworn in on 12th May 2026.

Let us remember that there is work to be done in our communities. Let us develop projects to support the communities around us.

I wish you a great week.

Yours in Service
