As the Rotary Year Draws to a Close: District Governor Geoffrey Kitakule Visits Kampala North

As District Governor Geoffrey Kitakule prepares to conclude his year of service, Rotary Club of Kampala North looks forward to a memorable fellowship that will celebrate leadership, welcome new members into the Rotary family, and recognize those whose generosity continues to strengthen The Rotary Foundation.

As the Rotary year enters its final weeks, Rotary Club of Kampala North is preparing for a special fellowship on Monday, 15 June 2026, when District Governor Geoffrey Kitakule makes what will likely be his final official visit to the Club before the end of his term on 30 June.

The visit comes at a significant moment for both the District and the Club. It offers an opportunity to celebrate another year of Rotary service while looking ahead to the future.

“This fellowship brings together three important elements of Rotary: leadership, membership growth, and giving.”

A highlight of the evening will be the induction of three new members into the Rotary family. The Club will proudly welcome Edith Oyulu, Victor Mugisha, and Walter Mumbere.

Edith joins Kampala North through Rotary's international network, transferring her membership from a Rotary club in the United States. Walter transitions from the Rotaract Club of Kampala North (KANOs), continuing his journey of service within the Rotary family. Together with Victor, they bring fresh energy, new perspectives, and a shared commitment to Service Above Self.

New Members to be Inducted

  • Victor Mugisha
  • Walter Mumbere – Transitioning from Rotaract Club of Kampala North (KANOs)

The evening will also recognize members who have recently contributed to The Rotary Foundation (TRF). Through their generosity, Rotarians help fund projects that transform lives in communities across the world while advancing Rotary's areas of focus.

As one Rotary year draws to a close, the Club will celebrate not only what has been achieved, but also the people who continue to strengthen Rotary through their leadership, commitment, and generosity.

Members are encouraged to attend and be part of this special occasion as we welcome new members, honour Foundation supporters, and host District Governor Geoffrey Kitakule for what promises to be a memorable evening of Rotary fellowship.
